Sunshine

Hey everybody.  I don't have anything terrifically exciting or noteworthy to report today.  I just wanted to get it out to the universe that I'm having a good day!  Sufficient sleep, relatively well-behaved kids, a shower, an amazing husband...today's a great day so I'm writing it down to help me remember what it feels like to have a great day because I know I'll have many not-so-great (in fact, several positively crummy and no-good-very-bad) days down the road and I need to remember how I'm feeling right now. 

I did get some pictures of Derek with Kristen, foryourinformation, but the camera battery is dead and I can't find the charger!  Considering we're blessing the baby in two days, I had better get around to finding that little gadget so I can record her special day.

There is sunshine in my soul today,

More glorious and bright

Than glows in any earthly sky,

For Jesus is my Light.

There is music in my soul today,

A carol to my King,

And Jesus, listening, can hear

The songs I cannot sing.

There is springtime in my soul today,

For, when the Lord is near,

The dove of peace sings in my heart,

The flowers of grace appear.

There is gladness in my soul today,

And hope and praise and love,

For blessings which He gives me now,

For joys “laid up” above.

O there’s sunshine, blessèd sunshine,

When the peaceful, happy moments roll;

When Jesus shows His smiling face,

There is sunshine in the soul.
