Bunkbeds and more!

A few weeks ago we bought bunkbeds for the kids.  The company came and assembled it for us, but a piece was missing.  It finally came FedEx today, so I was able to complete this step in the kids' rooms switcheroo.  Grandma Beck bought Isaac new twin sheets for his birthday because he's upgrading from the toddler bed.  The next step will be to put Maren's crib into Isaac's old room, and after a few months we'll transition her to the toddler bed so the crib can go in the room the baby will sleep in when she arrives in July.

Last week was a busy week for us.  The Missoula Children's Theater was in Kuna doing a production of Rumpelstiltskin.  This was all new to me, so I'll explain how the MCT works.  It's a travelling company, going to a new community each week.  Mondays are auditions/try-outs, Tuesday through Friday are practices, and Saturday is rehearsals and performances!  The play was casting approximately 50-60 parts, kindergarten through 12th grade.  One-hundred-ninety-eight kids showed up!!!  It was crazy.  Alayna did not get a part in Rumpelstiltskin, but they let those who tried out but didn't get parts participate in a song and dance preshow.  So for two hours each afternoon, Tuesday through Friday, Alayna practiced with about 75 kids "The Cowman and the Farmer" from Oklahoma!. On Saturday they had a dress rehearsal and then two performances.  I got to attend the afternoon performance with her and Derek went with her to the evening show. She was one of the farmers in the "cowman and farmer" equation, so here she is in her costume!

Isaac and Maren are bath buddies tonight, and they were being cute so I just snapped a shot...

And that's all I have to say about that!  Thanks for playing!
