Last week when Alayna received her piano books at her lesson, I thought, "This girl needs a bag!" I was thinking about fishing out one of my 'green' grocery bags, but I remembered a pair of Derek's old jeans sitting in my laundry room. Derek was going to throw them away because he put a big rip across the fanny, but I knew with that much denim I could do something useful/awesome with it. And the two ideas became one. I found an old Hawaiian shirt in our D.I. bin and voila, instant shabby-chic piano bag! Alayna did contribute to a bit of the sewing and I'm very proud of her.
